Oh yeah there are definitely a lot of opportunities to minimize/ get rid of debt. Personally whenever I got money from the school after all of my loans went through I just put it all back into the loan. There are also very big scholarship opportunities awarded by the school in exchange for art, such as the Helms Trust award which is an award competition for a piece of artwork. Most everyone I knew that went there also received portfolio scholarships, which are different based on a faculty assessment of your portfolio, which can go up or down every year based on final portfolio reviews. The financial aid office and your advisor/ major chair would be able to tell you a lot about these opportunities. Everyone at aac is all about getting paid for art, and are very helpful when it comes to students diminishing and minimizing the amount of debt they can go into by just pursuing an education in the business and philosophy of art. I know that it’s the least expensive school in the area that is an accredited AICAD school and the smallest too. I dont know if there are other art schools around with illustration departments that put money aside specifically for promoting student-made works at area conventions like Cincinnati comic-con.

#sketching on my breaks today. I got in a car crash. Been a rough week dealing with sexist racist unaware people. Featuring #garnet from #stevenuniverse. She’s so beautiful and velvety. Also some examples of cool #undercut ideas I want. Dag I miss some undercut. I want to change my hair so bad. I miss making big, long-term pieces of art. I’m going to start one soon. #fanart #CN #CARTOONNETWORK #sunglasses #naturalhair #bamf #crystalgems #anime #animation
